Only buy this box if all you want to do is watch live TV


The VBox is not fit for purpose and unfit to be marketed as a PVR in the UK because it lacks the basic functions required:

• A full and complete EPG. Every other UK TV, PVR and STB has no problem receiving a full 8-day epg OTA.
• Ability to record HD channels with meaningful programme names and synopsis, 'String Format not supported" is not acceptable
• Ability to search EPG
• A responsive and functional user interface - wait a minute for the guide to load
• Support for Accurate Recording using the information in the broadcast stream
• Full series recording support including not recording repeated episodes
• All recordings are placed in single folder with no ability to organise

All of these features, and more, were available over 10 years ago in my Humax HDR T2 PVR it is unacceptable for VBox to market a new PVR so lacking in essential functions.

Sad but all very true. VBox really need to fix these issues. Unfortunately, they seem happy to add new features but seem unwilling to fix the bugs/issues in the code they have alreday got. Shame because its a great box but is spoiled by a handful of anoying bugs.
