Remote access
Hi all,
I have a new Satellite Android Gateway Box, I’m having trouble with remote access. I’ve set up port forwarding but still can’t access my device over the internet.
Has anyone any ideas?
Thanks
Sandy.

Re: Remote access
Hi you should set this on your home router -
sometimes the IP you have set by using device configuration will rejected by the router (although its look OK)
it always the router - your router is your network door keeper

Re: Remote access
I have opened the ports on my router, I can access my NAS remotely over the internet therefore I should be able to access the Vbox gateway.
Re: Remote access
Hi sorry so late to reply to this it took weeks for my forum authorisation.
If you haven't sorted this out - here is how I did it: put the Vbox in the DMZ on your router, then try accessing over the internet. In my case this worked, so I knew it was a matter of correct port forwarding.
The thing that did it for me was to set port 80 forwarded to the Vbox, as well as the other ports (55555 etc), then it works as it should.
I assume you have some sort of DNS aliasing service also.
