Unable to update XTi3442 software VJ.2.59

Hi,
my XTi3442 current Software Version is XTI_VJ.2.59.
When I try to do an update I get a popup that says

Information was not found in server

When I download VJ 2.66 (50,562KB) from
https://vboxcomm.com/support/guides/vbox-tv-gateway/
The unit is unable to install software locally
I get a popup that says

Error
Corrupted File. Cannot proceed with the installation.
------------------------------------------------------------------
I have tried re-downloading but I still get that error message.

Please can you help

I have exactly the same problem. Currently on XTI_VJ.2.65.4.
Attempt to manually upgrade to SWUpdateAll_WithCleanUp__XTI_VJ.2.66.ub and I get an error about a corrupt file

I have same version, redownloaded file with 2.66 and rebooted my 3442 with 2.65.4.
After it goes fine.

I have the same problem: corrupt file message when I try to update (2.65 -> 2.66) with the file.
I do a system reset and it's OK now with 2.66 update file.

It's bad that the online update doesn't work (message: "Information was not found in server") and it's necessary to manually download the file (and do a reset before).

Same problem. My box had only been up an hour (my scheduled restart) but wouldn't update.
So, I restarted it manually and then it accepted the downloaded file and updated.

Be warned, the update wipes your system of all the channels, network storage, etc. A right pain to set up again. I'm glad I took a backup so I can restore it, do a load of screenshots of the old settings and then update it again.

As I've said so many times, this is a techie's toy, not a consumer device!

Hmm, well the stupid stupid system now won't let me restore my old backup! What's the bloody point of a backup if you can't restore it! Good thing I had some screenshots too but it still takes ages to do all the scanning, deleting of rubbish shopping channels, icon matching, EPG channel matching for HD.
Somehow don't think my wife would do this - the device would just go in the bin!
