Thanks for your efforts, the series recording is a great addition for my usage cases. The less I have to use the official vbox app the better!

We have detected some issue with very old android version like 4.1.1 and 4.2 (Jelly Bean).
Its not issue with app, but with software that was used to write app.
So if someone wants to get it working on such old android versions you need to use older versions of app.
You may find it in telegram channel from the bottom of this post or on github with older commits.

Now all issues was gone.
And version 1.4.3 via google play or github is working fine for old android.

Does this app work on FireTv or is it just phones etc?

If yes, you may try apk from github.

Well, it tooks lots of time.

Also, we updated android version for Android X support.
And there was some app rename, for being same as App Store.

If someone already got new vbox android gateway, it would be greate to have feedback how our app works with it.

Some bugfixes with epg and dark theme support (for now only if system wide enabled).

Also we still need some users with new android vbox, until our own device will come.

Good news everyone!

Now we got XTi-4144 it works fine when working with dvb-c or dvb-t/t2.

If someone from japan (isdb-t there) can check it in this mode - it would be great
