Change generation for m3u lists of XTI

Post by Ant » Tue Jan 31, 2017 6:33 pm

Hi.

On manage page under Streaming - IPTV we have cool feature:
List of channels and xml epg that can be downloadable from device:
http://192.168.1.36:55555/ChannelList.m3u

I discover, that lists that was created have local ip of XTI inside:
#EXTINF:-1, TLC
http://192.168.1.36:55555/TLC
#EXTINF:-1, 2x2
http://192.168.1.36:55555/2x2

That's ok when device is sitting in same home lan or routable network without nat translations.
Also thats can be fine if device have external ip (not like 192.168.x.x)

But, if device sits under nat and portforward, we have next situation:
We asks list for example:
http://8.8.1.6:55555/ChannelList.m3u (Where 8.8.1.6 is wan router ip that port forward 55555 on 192.168.1.36)

But inside of this m3u list we still have links with local device ip:
#EXTINF:-1, TLC
http://192.168.1.36:55555/TLC
#EXTINF:-1, 2x2
http://192.168.1.36:55555/2x2

Now, when i somehere out of home and use vlc to get some channel list or something, i must edit m3u list to change ip of XTI from local to routers wan ip.

So maybe there is some sense to add auto generation of lists with inserting actual ip or name that client asks or some settings which address to use in m3u when not in same network as xti?

Hi @Ant
Thank you for this feature improvement
Unfortunately, this is not currently available. However, it's a great idea. In fact, we already have this in our development pipeline as it was suggested before as well. The more times an item is mentioned by our users the higher we prioritize it and the faster we will get it done - so this just got upvoted.
