DVB-EIT support

Post by tarmacalastair » Fri Mar 31, 2017 3:50 pm

Hello,

In the GUI, under Streaming->IPTV there is an Enable EIT option.

Under IPTV Support, section 7.6, in the manual at http://vboxcomm.com/images/pdfs/XTi-VBo ... al_2.0.pdf, it says:
DVB-EIT support – some applications such as VLC, TVheadend can receive the program guide raw
stream. If you are using such an application and would like to stream the raw EPG data select this
option
When I tick the box nothing happens and VLC still doesn't receive the guide. When I navigate away from the IPTV page and come back to it, the EIT box is no longer ticked.

Please can you investigate as this would be a very useful function to have?

Thanks

I have tested the EIT and confirm it is not working on the latest version of the software; I can confirm it did work on the previous version. Can you raise a support request at this link http://vboxcomm.com/shop-support/contact-support.html please?

I have tested the website and cannot reproduce the error. I was able to send a support request. Are you using an ad blocker? Or a VPN? or any other add-on? Do you allow Java script and cookies? I doubt it is any of these though as I use ad blockers myself. It may, however, be indicative as to why you have had some epg issues if it is a wider network issue. Can you try again please, and get back to me?

Thanks for the suggestions. I have tried on several PCs at home running Linux with Firefox and Chrome, Windows 10 with Firefox, Chrome and IE. No Ad blocker on any of these.

Today, I've tried from a work machine (50 miles away) running Win7 with Firefox, Chrome and IE (again no ad-blocker or anything non-standard).

Every combination gives me the same result.

I appreciate your help but I can't log anything to support!

Help please!

Could I have an update on this please? When is it going to be fixed?
How about a forum post with outstanding bugs and new features and ETA for new firmware to implement them?
Thank you.

Hi @ tarmacalastair
EIT fix is scheduled for our upcoming software update
Unfortunately at this stage I do not have a release date for it
