Timers being lost on reboot
Timers being lost on reboot
I have a 3442, running XTI_VJ.2.59
When it loses power due to a power cut, all timers / series recording settings are lost. Why do they not persist?

Re: Timers being lost on reboot
What is timers?
If your about system time, by default it uses time from Live Signal (TDT).
For some operators its not available to get.
About recording - what type of storage you are using?
Device save it in file recordings.xml that is placed on storage(usb or smb share).

Re: Timers being lost on reboot
I raised this issue sometime ago under the heading "Recording Path". I record onto a Synology NAS drive. Whenever I reboot Vbox, Vbox looses the sign on details (user id and pw) so I have to re-enter these each time. And then I find it has lost all the schedules for recording. My Vbox, now a bit more than 2 years old, is not in good health and I have to reboot very frequently. Errors include recording a programme for only the first 4 seconds (it did this for three recordings yesterday), failing to record a programme (programme listed in XML file but no actual recording) or bad quality recordings with distorted video. I cannot be described as a happy customer
