Streaming Status

Post by sacha » Wed May 31, 2017 5:11 pm

Dear Vbox support

When i switch the streaming channel often in vlc it happens that a stream will not be terminted. The "old" channel is still shown as streaming on tuner 1. The new channel is streaming in tuner 2 (Treaming -> Status)

Only a reboot solves the problem.

Hi Sascha

I have experienced similar issues. I am only running one tuner at the moment and I was surprised to see it was still streaming. I then realised the stream hadn't been terminated when I closed the Safari window, also experienced the same just switching channels in the browser. Hopefully there will be a fix for this.

Cheers

M

Hi What FW versions are you using?
Do you have the same issue when using the VBox live TV apps?

Hello I also have a similar issue first of all the setup is a remote VBOX connected via internet to a TVheadend bacend (have 5Mbps upload speed).

When zapping channels looks like the VBOX needs a lot of time to stop streaming the previously watched stream which causes an overflow on the uplink and makes the viewing experinace not pleasnt.

Is there a way to have the VBOX stop streming immediatly after a client "leaves" a stream.

Eitan.

Looking at the Streaming Status manue It can take several long minutes minutes for a channel to stop streaming after the client has unjoined the stream.
