Error Alerts

Hi, I have now had 2 instances where the VBox stops talking to my NAS drive. I've no idea why, when I go into the settings it says it can't see the drive. If I re-enter the username and password it then reconnects and the credentials didn't change. Anyway, unfortunately the first I notice of this is...

Re: Best device for UK HD Channels

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I haven't considered the Xiaomi TV box, as I've seen this on the Kodi forum: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=252916 Q. I need a device with proper video deinterlacing for Over the Air (OTA) TV streaming from my HD Homerun or PVR server ? NOTE: Major Deinterlacing i...

Best device for UK HD Channels

Hi Everyone, I'm not particularly confident anyone will be able to help me, but I'm wondering whether anyone has successfully got the VBox TV streaming HD channels to their TV in the UK? If so, has anyone got it working with a device that supports Amazon Video, iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4 in a user frie...

Re: Amazon Fire TV Stick HD Viewing

Thanks for the reply nepo. I've been through all of the things you have recommended and I still can't get it to work. I've come to the conclusion that it is not possible on this device. I thought I would post my findings in case anyone else has this problem and stumbles across this thread. Firstly t...

Re: Amazon Fire TV Stick HD Viewing

Hi Nepo, Thanks for the suggestion. I got Kodi installed and enabled the "PVR IPTV Simple Client". I can watch live TV, but the "Program Guide" is blank and the so are the "Recordings" list. I watched BBC One HD for about 30 minutes and it was perfect. I then watched BBC Two HD for about 10 minutes ...

Re: Amazon Fire TV Stick HD Viewing

I have used an ethernet cable to directly connect the Fire TV Stick to my router. My laptop and Samsung S8 phone can both play HD via the VBox Apps when on WiFi. Therefore I can't believe it can be a network issue. The hardwired device should have faster access to the VBox Gateway. If I try to watch...

Re: Amazon Fire TV Stick HD Viewing

Hi nepo, thanks for your reply. The new Fire TV stick or the Fire TV with 4K should play HD content. FireTV.png I read the same spec on the Fire TV Stick, which is why I bought it. But for me it doesn't work. I guess Amazon measure by HD content on Amazon video, which I guess must be lower quality t...

Re: Amazon Fire TV Stick HD Viewing

OK thank you for confirming this.

Can anyone recommend a device they are using to view HD content?

How about the other Amazon device, the Fire TV with 4K?

Thanks
