Re: Fire TV/Vbox App - EPG crash

Hi. I'm getting the same problem of the EPG guide (UK, Freeview) crashing and exiting the app with the Firestick TV app (just updated to latest version today, v1.07, tv gateway version VJ.2.57). When selecting Guide - Full guide, the app shows a dimmed blank template of the with no program info but ...

Re: Filesystem ExFAT

I've just partitioned & formatted the drive with its disks tool to MBR (not GUID) as 2 partitions of 1.5Tb. Formatted 1st partition only to NTFS (Booted very old PC with Ubuntu linux using USB stick.) Mounted ok!! (see below). I’ll keep experimenting on size and if uPnP access to 2nd partition, but ...

Re: Filesystem ExFAT

I've just tried partitioning & formatting as Ext4 on a linux box (ubuntu from USB)... but get the same mount problem. Can you confirm the TV Gateway be able to: 1) read GUID partition? 2) read a 3Tb USB drive? 3) on 3Tb drive, mount as single partition or multiple (and primary vs extended)? Regardin...

Re: Filesystem ExFAT

I've not managed to work out how to partition it to Ext4 from my MacBook. I've already installed Fuse for doing NTFS, but need to install more stuff for reading Ext2/3/4, and apart from then seeming to require command line mounting each time connected to Mac (and installing another tool for PC's), i...

Re: Filesystem ExFAT

The Mac Disk Utility required me to partition using GUID partition. I believe the Master Boot Record limit is 2TB, so makes sense.

Re: Filesystem ExFAT

Hi again. I'm still having problems mounting USB drive. I've reformatted the WD 3Tb drive several times now, both on Windows 10 Pro (as NTFS) but still no luck mounting on the TV Gateway (same errors as previously). On my Mac, I've also tried with Paragon NTFS tool (for r/w Segate drives, but seems ...

Re: Filesystem ExFAT

Hi, thanks again for the swift reply. As far as I'm aware they were done exactly the same. Viewing on my Mac is says NTFS. It's using a GUID rather than ?Master FAT if that's an issue? If so, I'll have to wipe it tonight (on Windows laptop) and try again, but wanted to check in case some other issue...

Re: Filesystem ExFAT

Thanks for the quick reply, greatly appreciated. FYI, I've tried formatting my older WD passport (500Gb) drive, and copied just a few files to it (from Mac/NTFS-3G) and that seems to work fine, despite also showing the "iocharset=utf8". On connection of this smaller drive, it reports the following: ...

Re: Filesystem ExFAT

Hi again. OK, I've just bought a new 3Tb WD Elements My Passport drive to use with the TV gateway 3442 and formatted to NTFS under Windows 10. Having spent the last 24hrs copying my existing media files to it (~1Tb) from my Mac using FuseOX/NTFS-3G, I've connected it to the TV Gateway... and it does...
